2020 MUST-HAVE SUMMER ACCESSORIES – Ladies who online

Oh, I know! It’s already September. I’m aware the months are just passing-by, even if we’re on lockdown and in quarantine. But we still tend to forget what day it is today.

We may not experience the full four seasons (winter, spring, summer, and fall) here in the UAE. But if you’re living in a country with these four divisions of the year, I guess you’re lucky enough to experiment with different clothes and accessories. For me, there’s only summer in Dubai. But we also get to experience a brief winter in the emirates (winter time here can get very cold for an Asian like me).

My clothing choices can be a challenge sometimes. But what I try to do is I mix and match all of my clothes and accessories, and just go from there. I always ask myself, how can I wear my summer clothes and use them again for wintertime? Well, it’s not that hard. All you need is plenty of creativity and ideas to come up with unique looks. If you’re a fashionista or just someone who loves to dress up and accessorize, refrain from wearing the same look repeatedly because your outfit might end up looking boring and casual.

Here are a few recommendations of must-have summer accessories that you can play with and also use for winter later on.

• WIDE-BRIMMED HAT: Wearing a hat is a must when visiting or living in the UAE (just think about the country’s many beaches that you can go to), as the sun is always up for long periods in a day. That’s why a wide-brimmed hat is great for this kind of weather. Plus, it will look perfectly stylish for that Instagram shot! 

• EMBROIDERED REUSABLE BAGS: Those were the days when we were caught dead carrying unflattering reusable bags. But don’t underestimate the beauty and power of these durable sacks, as these can hold a lot of things! More and more people have been using this bag for years, which has now developed into what we call eco-friendly sacks – a stylish and perfect summer (and all-year round) must-have. 

• FACE MASK: Oh, I won’t forget to list this one! This is already a must-have accessory this summer. I might even use it as a winter essential. That’s if the pandemic stays longer because the virus that we’re dealing with today is not a joke! I recommend everyone to wear those proper 3-ply surgical masks for your ultimate protection. • FASHION PYJAMAS: I know that this is not an accessory, but I’m choosing to include this as a summer must-have. We could all invest in a few beautiful pyjama sets, especially since most of us are still staying and working from home. If you can find some lovely designs, like the one below, then you might just get away with a pair that you can wear at the mall or grocery. There’s nothing more comfortable than an extra set of nice pyjamas at home, right? Just make sure you choose quality fabrics, so you can enjoy donning one during the summer. 

We don’t need to buy that many clothes and accessories. You can just challenge yourself to mix and match what you already have in your closet. Buy timeless pieces that you can use for a very long time. At the end of the day, it all comes down to feeling comfortable in the clothes you’re wearing.
